Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe



This is my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe right now.  I don't put as many chocolate chips as the recipe calls for.  It would be yummy that way but I don't need it.  I just eyeball the amount that I need and then follow the rest of the recipe.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup butter shortening 
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
12 oz chocolate chips

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
2.  Cream shortening and sugars together 
until well blended
3.  Add eggs and vanilla and mix well
4. In a separate bowl combine flour baking soda and salt
5.  Mix with a spoon and then add the shortening mixture 
and mix until well blended.
6.  Add in the chocolate chip and mix.
7.  Place about a tablespoon of cookie dough on the cookie sheet.
8. Bake for over 7-9 minutes
9. Cool on a wire rack.

Sheet pan chicken. Yum.

 I found this recipe and just love it.  The first time I did it exactly like the recipe and we loved it.  The second time I was on the phone and forgot to season the chicken but poured the sauce over the vegetables and chicken and it was great.  Yes, I said vegetables.  I started making this and had no potatoes which hardly ever happens.  I used cauliflower and carrots and put that honey sauce on them with the chicken.  Yum.  I also decided to double the sauce and then did not have that much honey and used 1/2 cup honey with double the rest and yum.
